Hi Guys,
just purchased a 77 Econoline 4x4. and was wondering who could tell me what kind of transfer case and axle set up came with this truck.
Many thanx.
Curious where you bought this from (if you don't mind me asking). I was looking at one awhile back on Grand Island's Craigslist. It was a light blue color. It had a Dana 44 front and a 205 x-case. I thought it would be pretty cool, but the one I looked at had quite a bit of rust in the body.
Hello Freak,
Beleive or not I was visiting Dubai last year for the first time, and found this truck laying in a corner in a junk yard and the guy got really excited when I offered to purchase it since these dudes have no idea about what they possess and apparently it s been sitting for awhile there and he needed the spot for some other purpose.
So, I bought it and left in a friend s garage and now I m back home and looking for parts for it for the next time I travel there next year maybe so I can start on it.
I maybe preparing it for some dune action since as you know it s all sand there and need something for camping in the desert with real good A/C package on it. Would you know of any good custom Air Conditioning set up for this cool Rig?
Wow, that's an interesting story!! I have no clue what kind of air conditioning unit you would want to try and use for conditions like that. Take some pics of that rig next time you are over there and post them up for us!!
Does anyone else vaguely remember the Chuck Norris movie where he is ripping around in a 4x4 Ford van?? I tried Googling it. From what I came up with the movie was called 'Breaker Breaker' from 1977. I tried to find a picture of the van, but couldn't. This link said it had a picture, but it wasn't showing when I read it??
