Mine wore out at 120k, I looked into re-arching and found that buynig new was cheaper and easier. I purchased them from www.suspentionking.com after thi instal I picked up the passenger side 1 3/8 and drivers side 1 5/8. around 350.00 and shipping was free.
suspensionking.com is half price of Ford! Does anyone have experience with their product and know if the spring rates of theirs are the same as Ford's? I'm needing B codes for the rear.
havent ordered from suspension king, but i just replaced my front leaf springs (F250, Q5A springs). i forget who i bought them from, but they were 'Husky' brand springs. sounded like a nice tough name, but were about half the price of the ford ones. they showed up with a big ole made in china sticker and were perfectly flat, whereas my 190k mi old ones that had come off still had some positive (concave upward) arch to them after i took them off.
i put the new ones on anyway since one of my old ones was permanently twisted from a bad front shackle. once i got the new ones on and dropped the truck down, i was still only about 1" from the bump stop - almost identical to before i changed them. definitely diappointed in virtually no gain in front end ride height - even with all new front end bushings.
the new bushings (urethane ones from summit) did make the ride much much smoother and quieter, though. i love the new ride and the fact that the truck drives a straight line after alignment. just wish i didnt have chinese parts on my truck and had a higher front end. oh well.
i saw the thread title and posters name at 5 am this morning as i was shutting down to go to work and thought "oh crap. not this guy again. i hope the guys play nice until i get home."
what i did not notice was the date
havent ordered from suspension king, but i just replaced my front leaf springs.....
Apologies for trimming your post but I believe the jest of your message is that you bought some non-ford springs from a source you don't recall and had a poor experience. That truly sucks and I believe you are sharing your experience so that others may not have the same negative experience. Thanks!
Does anyone have experience with products from suspension king dot com?
