i have a 1999 Ford F-250 and it has a 5.4L V8. I just bought it a few weeks ago. Anyway its very hard to move the shifter ****. The tranny doesn't slip, it shifts very well once in gear and driving, the truck came with a snow plow that was on it since it was almost new so im not sure if theres a problem with the tranny or not.
99 f250 5.4 also. Does the same thing. I got a break down diagram from the dealer, but it was useless. I dont know what it is. It seems like no one does!
I guess i can live with it as long as there isnt anything wrong with the tranny, but when im plowing my arm is gonna get tired from moving the hard shift.
My 99 expedition was the same way I used dry graphite powder on the column bushings every couple of months it helped a little but not really enough to justify the work involved!

Not to change the subject but i have the chance to buy a 99 f350 crewcab with the 7.3 in it with 333,456 miles on it. Just wondering is that alot of miles for the 7.3.. I know theses engines can run for ever but 333+ is alot...
