Question Raven's or Flowmasters

Hey guys. I have a 2003 XLT FX4 F150, and want to put a performance exhaust on it. Since its a new truck should I just go with a cat back system or should I go with tru duals. And is raven any good? or would I be better off with flows? I want some sound, and some performance.

i dont think u can go true dual cause i think that u have to keep ur cats on, i was told that if i took mine off my ranger, it would literally not run, so if u want sound, go cat-back straight-piped with 2.5" pipes and 3.5"X22" stainless steel tips, my neighbor has a 97 4.6 f150 and it sounds awesome with that setup.

You can run true duals... just replace the y-pipe with an x-pipe, two mufflers of your choice and some pipe and tips.

I have a5.4 99 f150 off road xlt northland edition and I have true duals and no mufflers, cats r good enough on her. My exhaust has two o2 sensors one on each side. Which means that after the cats you can have a single pipe exit on what ever side you want. My truck is extremely loud and I love it, only thing is If you really want loud do that and if not do that then put flowmasters or glass packs. But im telling i love starting her up in the morning and barely going 5 m.p.h. and she s a crackin and popn like a true ford made sound better than a god amn chevy. Oh buy the way I raced a 2003 chevy the other day and wasted him , You get extreme horse power dual straight pipes.......well i think so

I was thinking though, I have a choice of a ravin z33 or z55 of any of the flowmaster series. I am not sure which one I want. I want some power and better mileage, and of course some sound. I want duals out the back i kno. I dont want too much sound that it wakes people up at night. But i want it to sound like a powerful truck. what should i go with? Flowmaster 40 delta, or 50series, of the ravin z55? no one around here has either on their trucks so i dont kno what to go with?

I'd say the Deltaflow 40 series... It'll have a nice bark at startup, a mellow idle, smooth tone and you can barely hear it when cruising. And when you mash the pedal it just roars nicely. Ask to get it true dualed with an x-pipe or h-pipe. You'll love it man

Thumbs up Raven's or Flowmasters

I think that I am leaning towards a flowmaster 40 delta series, think im gonna go with SI/DO catback tho. How much should I pay for this ballpark? I have a guy that will install it, so does anyone know a good deal online that I can order? If Im doing catback what do i need to buy besides the muffler and some sweet tips?

I have the ravin Z33 on my truck with the cats still in place. I would not change it even if flowmasters were free

my set up is about 2" from the "Y" it expands to a 3" pipe and goes into a SI/SO 3" Ravin Z33. then it dumps out the side with a 3" pipe.

Truck is dirty in the pic but here is what I mean

The ravin z33 has a deep rumble and is not to loud with the cats on, and livens up when you step on it. I found the sound of flowmasters to be a little to "raspy" for my liking and prefered the deep babble of the ravin.

personaly I think if you are leaving the cats on go for the Z33 as I think the Z55's woulden't be much louder than stock.
