Okay i found this f100 and i really wanna resore it. but i want to know a little about it before i even start. I know you going to be frustrated cause i don't know "squat" about old trucks. Well it looks like someone tried to restore it because it has some stuff that i know have been replacesd like the gas tank (PERFECT CONDITION), and because it has glass Cherry Bombs on it. Exaust pipe looks new. Frame is in semi good condition. some body repair was attmepted......with pieces of fiberglass. The whole truck (inside and out) looks like it was in the middle of a paint fight (like with cans)covered with differant colors cept the windows (must have been replaced). It has a straight 6 in it. I know it was running in 92 because there are like 4 little tabby things with what they did to it listed on the "receipt" and how much it cost from the ... umm...place (?) like change oil _ quarts of 20W40... you know the basics.... the box needs some work. It's a Step side. and the whole inside is gunna need to be redone cause it is "splashed" with red paint. All the wires under the dash seem to be ripped out. Both floors are bad. front drivers corner in the engine compartment is all rusted out.. you know the basics. (but god frame!!!) I stoped and looked after hours so the dude wasn't there to tell me bout it. here is what the door (on the truck) said....

oh yah...the shifter is on the column...but as it sits there when i put the clutch in (very "springy") i can only get three positions out of it (1st 2nd and reverse????). Does anyone have any idea to The estimated value. (i hacve absolutly no freaking clue if the dude told me it was worth $100 i'd beleive him if he told me it was worth $200 i'd vbeleive him too i just need some basic guidence .Your guess is better than mine guarntee it.) Well i know i'll have more questions as the time arises. any clue as to how much i should offer??? Also any clue on the displacemen to f the engine? Thanks a TRILLION!!!!!
I posted this in the wrong column then 'dueller gave me some guidance. Here is what he said.......

Hoss, What you have described sounds like a good hundred dollar truck. There are too many out there in better shape to pay more than that for it. I am basing my opinion on available trucks in & around North Carolina.
JW is right, that sounds like a parts truck.
You want a good one of these, head south about 10 hours and you'll find nice ones for not much more than what that will cost you. The money you spend on a better truck is easily saved by not having to repair rust and look for parts that don't exist (radiator supports, hoods).
I bought a truck in NC and brought it back to PA, $2600 and it's totally solid with a presentable paint job and nice interior. Another $2500 and it will be mint and show ready.
If you want a truck bad enough we can help you find one!
I have a truck for sale. 1966 F-100 Long box. Was a Az. truck (NO RUST) some small dings but no large dents. factory paint faded but dull. the truck is in LaCrosse Wi. if you dont mind travel I will make you a heck of a deal.
Brett,
I have no idea what it is worth? If you are interested I can try to snap some pic's and e-mail them to you. I will let you make me an offer. Remember, this truck is located in WI. I have no way to deliver it to you. I bought it as a project truck but now I have no time to work on it.
i got a coupla more ?'s first of all what kind of wood did ford use in the box. second whats the diff between a stepside and the other one (brain fart) not regular but the other one. short box preferably (so i can fit it in my barn) Yes i would be very interested in some help in finding a truck i really want the stepside and i want to keep it the factory color preferbly blue. Money is a BIG issue no more than $700 and that includes gas to get ther travel is not an issue but i would like it to be closer. thanks i know i'm asking alot but ANY help would be appreciated.
Flare side has fat fenders and sometimes a small step just behind the cab. These are available aftermarket with all new components. These beds will have a wood floor if it has not been replaced by steel as is common.
Style side has smooth fenders welded to the bed. These beds are all steel and the long version is the most common of all.
