I cant remember who but someone on here did somee testing with an AE on an 03 and with the EGR valve unplugged they DIDNT have FULL operation of the fan
IIRC they said it only came on 90%-100% but didnt have the lower fan steps like it should
so its got to get really hot before it kicks on I wouldnt risk it
after watching the fan this summer with SGII theres alot of conditions that will trigger the fan like A/C, ambeint temp, ECT and I probably missed something
Also you cant hear the fan most of the time but it does work you just dont know it
I deleated my EGR cooler but left the valve in and plugged in for fan operation
If its deleated that egr valve cant cause any problems sitting there plugged in and you know for shure that the fan will work like it should
