Turbo
Quick question for the experts. Last night i was driving over one of the mountain passes here in Wa state and while headed up the turbo would spool up passed 20psi, and then it would "fart", and when it would fart rpm's would fluctuate also. It did this the entire way up. It was dark out so i could not tell if anything was coming out tailpipe as well. No engine light, no evidence of puking out bottle. Is this just an indication that the turbo needs to be cleaned or something else. Truck in question is an'05 F250 6.0 with 82k. Also I am not running tunes. So any suggestions. Thanks fellas. Matt

sounds lke the turbo veins are sticking and needs to be cleaned
it realy should only turbo fart if you got the acc. pedal smashed and let off quick
If yours does it randomly veins could be sticking or a bad VGT silinoid

Scangauge didn't record any. Its weird cause it would only act this way when going up steady incline all other smaller hills it works as advertised. Guess i am fixing to get up close and personal with turbo
