351 Timing
Have a 86 f150 with a 351. The problem that I am having is that when I put a timing light on it, Sometimes the mark is there and sometimes its gone. I have no scale for the timing just a round circle and a pointer. Help Please

Setting the timing on an 80's truck is quite unique.
It depends on the type of ignition system.
I suggest going to the 80-86 truck forum and look at thread that talk about ignition timing.
