I'm re-assembling after replacing my oil cooler. I noticed I have a part from the oil filter bowl with a ripped rubber washer. The part in question sits on the bottom of the filter bowl and its like a brass cup and a spring sits inside the cup. Does anyone know what the part number is for the brass cup? The rubber washer is half ripped off the bottom of it.
I would also appreciate the part number for the blue fuel spring upgrade if someone has it handy. Sorry I can't post a pic, my SD slot is MIA.
Thanks to everyone for the great info here. Like I mentioned, I'm finishing up replacing the oil cooler. Definately the biggest job I've ever tackled on my own. I would not have attempted it with out the great info on this forum. Thanks guys.
Thanks Jimmyv13. I tried both those numbers and they don't work. Could be a that the part numbers are different in Canada. I'm assuming your in the States. I called ahead to the ford dealer about the fuel spring and then drove over to see if they had it. I was standing at the counter while a bunch of techs/parts people were bashing us "internet mechanics" in the back room b/c I was looking for a part that none of them had ever heard of. The ONLY reason I buy parts at this dealer is because I get a commercial discount price through work.
As for the other part, ford couldn't figure out what I was talking about. Their scematics SUCK. Even the tech who was trying to help said that it looked like a 7 year old had drawn the picture. International had a great pic of the part but it only came in a kit with the whole oil filter bowl for $250. So I went home and made a rubber washer which seems to be working fine.
