1356 Problem

1356 Problem
I have a 88 F350 with a BW 1356 Transfer case. Today I was coming off an exit ramp and the truck just wouldn't move, like it was in neutral. I have completely lost 2 and 4 wheel high, but 4 low works fine. Could this be something simple that can be fixed in without taking the transfer case out and how would you know?

Electronic shift, right? Check the plug on transfer case to make sure it hasn't come loose.The electric shift motor does go bad and easily swapped at home. As far as testing it, I can't help.

Can you move the lever up to 2 or 4 hi I wonder if the pump sprage broke loose on you on my electric shift 1356 it broke one of the shifting forks and did some real cool breakage , but I lost everything on mine stranded at the bottom of 2 hills.
