Well since this seems to be a popular topic. I had to make a quick stop when the car in front of me was not paying attention and hit the stopped car in front of it. The car behind me locked them up but did not connect. Funny thing is I never felt like I was in danger. These cars were about 1/3 the size of the EX. I am glad I was not following too close and playing with the radio or talking on the cell phone like the guy in front of me was.
Since owning my Ex, I have noticed that there are a lot fewer drivers that want to play chicken with it than my other vehicles, even the lifted F150. I live in a college town and there is no shortage of 20-something drivers that know no fear, or common sense.
There's something about having 4+ tons of steel next to them that cause drivers pause before they embark on something really stupid.
LOL, I agree people think twice before cutting off an Ex. My Escort is the commuter car and I've learned to "read" what cars are going to do. That way I don't get surprised when they cut me off. It is pretty funny to drive the Ex and watch them think about cutting me off...and then reconsider.

i wish the girl that took me heads up would have thought the same way the people around you do! lol
