If any of you have pics of the air intake mods you have done to your 7.3s I would appreciate seeing them. I am trying to get ideas for making one on my truck which is the early '99.
Thanks for any help.
I've since shimmed it up with some styrofoam blocks to keep it from wearing through MORE. just make sure the air filter is not in contact with anything when youre done

Thanks for the info and pics. How big is the outlet on the 6637 is it 4" like the stock intake outlet?
Yes, 4"

At the time I took this pic (I can't find my newer pics) I used a 3" DWV-PVC coulping to attach the filter to the intake tube. I now have a piece of 4" exhaust pipe in the place of the coupling.
On the intake tube that attaches to the turbo says USA on it. I have a TN BB turbo (aftermarket) that has a bigger inlet then a stock turbo.
Thanks for the info and pics. I have to replace my turbo inlet tube(cracked) is why I was asking about that. Do you know the inlet size for the stock turbo on the newer '99 and up? Was thinking about upgrading to that hose if it will fit. Mine is 3" on the early'99. Hopefully I can do a cold air intake mod/system soon.

The stock turbo is like yours, 3" while the TN and GPR are 4". Clay (RIFFRAFF DIESEL PERFORMANCE) can set you up with everything you will need to turn your e99 to a late '99.
Okay thanks. I left a phone message with Clay about 30 min ago. I had bought injector cups, rings, and rented tool from him recently and found the air tube problem when doing that job.
