Could someone please take some photos of the vacuum hose hook ups in the back of the intake manifold. I broke a Tee in one of the hoses while changing plugs and didn't get back to the job for a couple days...now I can't figure out what goes where? I know..rookie dumb move. There are 3 hoses that attch to the back of the intake man. The hose in the center has a tee coming out of the bottom...don't know where this one hooks to. Then there is a hose from the top of of the evap that lies across the intake..don't remember where it goes. Lastly the tee that I broke I believe was hooked to the black cylinder shapewd tank attch to the firewall..I think...please..any photos would be awesome.
It's a 6 cyl. Checked that diagram and has me confused. The vehicle is chugging and coughing upon start up and idle like I have a vacuum line crossed up or have a leak?? Took it around the block and it seems ok under power except the brakes seem to be nonexistant to the point when coming to a stop sign I had to stand on brake with both feet!!! I am stumped. I changed these plugs before without a hitch?? Should have listened to the wife.
Take a look at the power brake booster, the large 'pancake' on the front side of the firewall, with the brake master cylinder attached. There should be a large diameter hose attached to the front of the booster that routes across the firewall to a fitting plugged into the backside of the intake manifold. The hose on mine is supported by a bracket about midway across the length.
There is a Tee, with one branch coming to the left of the engine, looks like a fuel pressure regulator on the end of the fuel rail, the other end branching to the drivers side to a vacuum jobber that is near the EGR. A second, larger hose goes to the EGR itself. Too much difference from 04 to 07 I'd say...
