After conferring with my neighbor we decided to get it running and sell it as is. If it doesn't' sell before the weather changes we'll probably part it out.
The body is really rough but could be patch together. I figure the person who would buy it would make a street rod out of it and could use a glass front end to replace the rotted clip. It's way too far for even me to attempt to save it.
Everything we came make off of these parts will be recycled into my truck fund. At least my portion, Andy is going school this fall and what he gets will help with that. I just have to keep the amount of any profit from my better half. As I have mentioned many times, she has a sixth sense and can smell money. She has a great ability to find bills that need to be paid that are usually 10% more than what I just made. It's really amazing.
I didn't score, but I spotted a pair of '42-47 big trucks, and a '41 (they said it ran) big truck at a used car lot today. They were just dragged out of the fields it looks like, lol. Anyway, no sooner did I stop and start looking at the wheels, the salesmen came out. I quickly defended my position saying I was only interested in looking at the wheels. All but 2 wheels were lockring 20's. It's too bad they were pretty rusted. Actually it's too bad I didn't have the money or the yardspace.
