v codes (from what i read) are the most disreable bc they provide the smoothest or softest ride without giving up weight capacity.
it was worth it to me. i have only done the rear for now (front bumper was welded to the frame) but i can tell a pretty decent difference. the only thing i dont like about them is they allow the overloads to touch sooner than my old springs. i cant wait to do the front.
Yes. Rear are a breeze. I used the Sd shackles. They have larger bolts so the frame holes need to be drilled out to accept the bigger bolts. You can use the OBS shackles and not have to do that but I liked the idea of upgrading to larger bolts. Also the shackle needed to be ground down on the end that goes into the frame bracket. It is 1/4" thick and the OBS shackles are 1/8" thick so it had to be thinned a tad to drop all of the way down in there.
The front are another story. The SD springs are almost 4" longer than ours so it requires bracketry. Might as well do the Reverse shackle at the same time to improve the ride.
