Will a sm465 four speed fit in a 1950 f-1 with a flatty v-8. Also will I need a bell housing, and where would I get it.

I doubt it's short enough to fit without cutting the crossmember. Any of the alumminum T5 adapters could probably be re-drilled to fit it up. Even if it worked out, you wouldn't gain much with that swap; 1st is for stump pulling, 4th is still direct.

I'm looking for a synchronized 4 speed that would fit in its place, or maybe someone makes a synchro kit for the original 4spd.
