If you have a carb, make sure the warm air pipe and the flapper door are working on the air cleaner snorkel.
If you have EFI, or you have a carb and the air cleaner is working, check your spark plug and high tension leads going to the coil for bad insulation and green corrosion. Also look under the hood at night to see if you see any sparking near the plug wires.
