Our women were going to be the inside video makers, but the mall sounded better to them! Has anybody reworked the clutch pack in the rear diff? I don't think i want to attempt that mod alone. Yes the wheel spin was caused by a brake stand, otherwise on dry pavement my ex takes a second to spool up before launching
This was my 1st street race & would only do one more against buddy's Cummings...

Congrats. Liked the video. Not surprised you took the Dmax. I borrowed my dad's Dmax which has some computer upgrades and towed a steep Mountain Pass "Stevens Pass" (headed East) with my 10500lb trailer at 55mph floored. Towed the same load this weekend up the same pass with the Excursion at 60mph with a little pedal left.

We were actually camping with friends that were driving a 02 supercharged V-6 Nissan Xterra towing a pop-up trailer. On the way home I told him to take the lead and I would try to follow. When we hit the steep part of the pass I could no longer follow him. He slowed to 40mph and I could not hold 4th gear to keep the tranny locked going that slow. I did not want to drop into 3rd and no longer have a locked tranny. My EGT's started to climb 1250+ lugging along. I had to put the pedal down to get the rpm up and EGT down. Speed up to 60mph and the EGT's went back down around 1150. Let him catch me going down the other side. The funny part is I was also hauling some of his gear.

When we returned from camping this weekend we stopped off at the fairgrounds to dump the tanks. We could hear cars racing up on the oval track - I think they were drifting but could not seem them. My son asked if I was going to race the Excursion and I looked at the wife and said drifting around the track with a 35' trailer could be interesting. I bet they would give me plenty of room.
