NPG 435?

Reading my '87 Econoline owners manual, says there is a tranny offered in E350 striped chassis only, called a NPG 435 4 speed man. trans direct drive.

Anyone here have any info on that tranny? Any other Ford got that tranny?

That's a "granny gear" 4 speed with no overdrive. They are just a bout bulletproof. Came in Ford trucks from the 60s til about 91 or so. Got one in my 78 f150

Yea I was informed in another thread it's the full name of the NP 435, I know about it well.

Never heard it's full name of New Process Gear 435
