Ok. Dont laugh. I bought the raditor flush kit from a popular auto parts store and will be flushing the rad, tonite. Since this is my first 351, i have no idea what hoses to cut. I know i need to cut the heater hose coming from the fire wall. Thing is, is that there are like 4 hoses coming from the firewall and two lead down toward the water pump. I cant see which one actually connects. HAs anyone done this on a 89 Bronco, 351W, 5.8.
I have done it on my 89 302. On mine, there are 2 hoses coming from the upper firewall on the passenger side. I cut the one closest to the fender and spliced it in closer to the T near the throttle body etc...
Ok. I see the two hoses coming fromt he upper firewall on the passenger side. You cut the one closest to the fender and added the plastic nozel piece from the flush kit right? What do you mean when u say "and spliced it in closer to the T near the throttle body etc..."
What I meant was that I put the plastic piece from the flush kit as close to the front of the vehicle as I could so that when I started to flush it out, I wouldn't fill up my engine well with anti-freeze.
It probably doesn't really matter exactly where it goes though but that is what I did and it works great. I kind of aimed it towards the passenger fender so that when I fluch, it flows out and over into the driveway so that I can dilute it so that animals won't be tempted to drink if.
