Lead Coil

I'm new at this...BUT

I have a 1988 ford F150 (given to me by my father). Where in the heck does the lead coil go from and too. I replaced the Solenoid and notice that someone else had done this before me. I have all the wires figured out, except the lead coil wire. According to the instructions, this wire should connect to the "I" terminus of the solenoid (the original (I happen to have) and the new one has 4 posts). But who ever replaced the last solenoid used one with only 3 posts and lumped the battery positive wire and three other wires together on one post. Should all these wires be on one post??

Any help is good help.

Thanks

Lead Coil

Ok on the older relays there are 4 terminals:
large one to the front has battery power to it as well as several wires that fed the rest of the truck
large one to rear has wire to starter
small "S" terminal is power from the key to close the relay > "S" for start
small "I" terminal sends 12 volts to coil for starting > "I" for ignition
I think that the newer vehicles, as in mid 80's and up, use a 3 terminal relay That said I havent ever owned a new one
Apparently the "I" terminal isnt needed for those computer controlled versions
So a wild guess and you only need a 3 terminal relay, but you could always use the 4 terminal and just leave the "I" blank.
