ignition or fuel?? Help!
79 Bronco with a fresh 400...I have replaced everything imaginable on my truck,fresh motor carb manifold headers alt, coil, ignition,you name it, but I am still baffled by this problem.towards the end of last summer I was getting a stutter while in drive idling, like at a stop light. I could watch my tach, and feel the thing jumping,and eventually,this problem got worse and worse until it would just stall with no warning while idleing. then, I could crank it and crank it, and no start, and then eventually, it would start. I eventually gave it to an electrical guy,who couldn't find a problem cuz we all know, that when your trying to find it, it doesn't show up. he eventually concluded that it was the ignition & replaced that. Right about then, its getting cold,and the problem seems to disapear all winter long. now the weather is getting warm again,and the problem is back. So,..I'm lost, don't know if the weather is the factor somehow, or i'm imagining it....or is the 1 yearold ignition already shot? can anyone help?
