weird 4th gear?

weird 4th gear?
hi i have a 1993 ford f150 4x4 XL with a 5 spd tranny with the 300 straight six, sometimes when i shift from third to fourth it feels like the motor bogs down a little, then revs up a bit and then levels out. it does seem right at all and idk what could be wrong. Also i locked both hubs in and engaged the 4x4 and you could definatly tell it was in 4x4 but the light didnt come on. is this just a fuse or what?

The 4x4 light is a bulb behind the dash. If the fuse was blown most of your dash lights wouldn't work.
It's easy as hell to remove dash and replace bulb. Well I should say get to bulb, I've never had to replace a bulb.
