Turned over the Ex to drive her for a bit,been sitting for a week,cranked slow for around 20 sec or less then quit. Popped the hood n the positive connection on the drivers battery was melted off. What causes this? Bad ground? I just replaced all the cables,connectors,batteries,alternator,grounds,and starter. Everthing is still tight and clean. Little corrosion on the neg of the same battery. Boggled
if you have a bad connection it will make the amps go up and that makes the heat go up. there may have been something on the wire where it was clamped that may be the problem.
I will double check it all again tomorrow before I crimp another connector on there. The batteries that I have in there now are warranty. Less than a year old. Will have them checked too.
