32 days in a row at 100 degrees or above. Record 110 today. We are setting record high lows almost every morning. The record for consecutive 100 degree days is 42. We may break that next week.
I think July 1 was the last time we were under 100 for the day. And that day was 99.
now you kno what it feels like to live in arizona lol, it sucks over there tho from all the humidity. we dont have that here unless it rains for a good while.
The heat has sucked of late. I keep putting off pulling the transfer case in my Jeep because of it. My nephew keeps texting me wanting to go to the off road park before he goes back to school and I just can't do it. I think we're supposed to dip into the mid-80's this week... maybe it'll be cool enough to do some work. But yeah, this heat wave has been intense.
after living in Bullhead City Arizona for 5 years I quit complaining about hot. I have seen the overnight low at 100+. many times the oat (outside air temperature ) indicator would be over 125 (this thing was calibrated and certified bi annually)
seen 250+ in the cab of my truck.
if the helicopter did not fly every day we had to put the ground handling wheel on it and move it as it would sink in the asphalt.
I remember going to Phoenix in August for my uncles funeral and it was only 110 degrees and we thought it was nice out!
now you know what our military men feel like over in iraq and afganistan.
except you don't have to wear 60 lbs of protective clothing every time you walk out the door.
They are not 58 years old, walking with a gimp and wearing 40 pounds of, er umm...protective winter, er um...gear. Yeah that's it. 40 pounds of winter protective gear.

i have no issue with dry heat...i just hate the humid heat....(wet heat) it sux...and not in a good vacuum pump/booster working way either....
Well, we didn't break the consecutive days at 100 or above as we missed the tie by one day.
But, yesterday we tied the total days at 100 or above and broke a "Day" record in the process. Today we will set a new Day record and set the total days over a hundred at 70. Probably hit 71 days tomorrow as well. Then finally a cool front an maybe even some much need rain by early next week.
We're sitting pretty in the mid to low 70's. Perfect day to air the house out. I can't believe how much work I've gotten done around here since the heat departed. Hope you guys get some cool weather headed your way.
