Brake question
I have a 53 f100 with the original single bowl mc and drum brakes. The fluid has drained out the last two winters. It is holding fluid now. I have bled the brakes. When applying the the brake pedal it goes down quite a ways before the brakes grab. I cannot remember for sure, but I think that the pedal did not go down as far as it is now before the issue of the fluid draining. Is there still air in the lines or is the mc about to go completely out?

Are the shoes adjusted out to barely brushing the drums? If not, that will cause excessive pedal movement. The further the shoes have to move the more the pedal will move. While you are adjusting them it's a good time to look at the inside of the wheels to see it the wheel cylinders are leaking or not. It will be pretty obvious if there is a leak.
