Bryce,

If you havent gotten this done by the time youre back in ellensburg hit me up. I might be installing some injectors around that same time, so it could be a good day of wrenching. Check your PM's

Bryce,

Good to see you on the board. Hawaii?! Man you sure do get around! I am prepping to do a custom dash gauge cluster now. I've identified about 9 gauges I want to run and am planning on making the "pod" using 2 inch pvc and fiberglass. The pod will tie into the dash panel (the removable part) and I am planning to keep it so it can be removed easily as one unit (dash + pod). I'm hoping to begin working on it in the next 2 weeks. I'll be sure to take a bunch of pictures for everyone. Talk with you soon.

JP

Right on. Maybe you, 2000ca, and I can wrench together. I'll definitely hit you both up when I'm back in town. I appreciate it. Busy on the weekends? because I know I'll be tied up for the most part on the week days except for maybe September 6th - 9th (tues - fri). How long do yo u think the whole install takes? And do you have a good drill? I dont. My socket set went missing too .

So you switch from Kailua to Kona to Eburg huh? Sounds like what I do minus the big island part. I was just over at lanikai beach not long ago. Working in Kapolei and living in Ewa right now.

Haha ya I'll let you know. That could be possible with this job. I've been to Hawaii, then Montana, now back to Hawaii in just 3 years. It is the northwest district of the company so there is definitely a possibility. How are the smog tests down there? I would want to tell them to "F" themselves if they wanted me to change my truck ha. I grew up in Fall City, WA where there are no emissions tests and recycling is optional. haha. But i suppose they wouldnt let me carry my xdm 40 without a completely different license to carry and a block in my high capacity magazine either. Sounds rough.

Perfect, thanks. I'm only going to be running Pyro and Trans temp gauges for now. I will get a boost gauge and put it in right before I can afford a GTP-38R. It will be cool to see the difference in pressure.

Hey thanks JP. Yup, Hawaii. And yes I do get around ha. I suppose I should change my location on my profile to HI and WA now. That dash gauge cluster sounds cool. Looking forward to the pics!

Ya definately hit us up. Im in ellensburg for school and rodeo. Im actually going back to kona in a couple of days, and wont be back in eburg til sept. 12. Ive got a decent drill that gets the job done for me. Install time shouldn't take too long. It took me 1.5 hrs by myself on my OBS for a pyro and boost.

Sweet. Sounds good. I dont leave oahu until September 16th so that will work out just fine. I thought it was going to take much longer than that. It always cuts down the time when you have people who have already done it helping. Not to mention 3 sets of hands when running wires. My pillar gauge pod is all painted up and ready to go so we should be set. I appreciate it. Have fun in Kona. Work or Play? Both?

Kona,

Pretty sure ive seen your red OBS driving around town...clean looking truck. Love the international grill. We should definitely set up some type of get together in september. If all goes well I'll have quite a bit of work to put in on my rig, would definitely be nice to have some other people to work with and to help out.

all depends on funding and what I decide....not too sure yet, kinda worried about pushing it too much with the turbonetics, but at the same time, id rather spend more now than spend the same upgrading later. Ideally Id like to put some hybrids in it, but im a tad scared they might blow up my turbo....guess i'll have to call DP and see if jody can detune them enough to keep my turbo from gutting itself and at the same time see the benefits from them. Got some routine maintence i gotta do first...ie coolant flush, torque injectors and rockers, glow plugs....late september is when i start calming down with work though so that time looks best for me. I'll deffinately be in touch and we can set something up. Between you me and kona we should be able to tackle anything that we need to do to these trucks

Thats right. And its always more fun with more people. and multiple powerstrokes around. I agree with the hybrids. Eventually I will be getting hybrids and most likely an H2E. I doubt I could get those things tuned down enough to run on my stock e99 turbo though, I will probably have to do injectors and turbo at one time.
