A/C On Settings

My A/C comes on in the position for feet and dash vents. Does anyone elses do this? I find that this setting, on high or the setting below high and all the way on cold is perfect for me.

Yes. They all do.

The compressor runs in both A/C and Max A/C positions (obviously), in the "high/low" position that you described, and in both defrost positions. It is only off in the OFF position, the vent (face only) position, and the feet position.
