Ok I got some odd looking radiater lookin thing that for what ever reason I just noticed in my truck, its just behind the grill and i have no clue as to what its use is and as far as i can see its just extra weight there, does anyone know what this thing is and what its hooked to and doing??
I know of some people saying they have extra cooling options (towing packages and what not) so im wondering if this is something like that...
I think it has something to do with the A/C, I followed the line that leaves the "extra radiator" and on my line it says "R134 ONLY". But I think it might have something to do with towing package too.
does that mean my truck is equipped to tow heavy loads then the usual truck or what? never had a transmission cooler in any truck/vehicle that my family (local or out of state) had

unfortunately, no. it just means you have an automatic.
oh, how would i know if there is a towing package on the truck, it came with a hitch when i bought it so I know it was used to tow trailers at one point in its life...
LSD? not sure what the heck that means, and leaf springs, how many leafs would the trucks have vs the ones with out? would it help to snap a pic of my leaf springs?
LSD = Limited Slip Differential. To check this is very simple and fun! It's burnout time! Burn 'em up and see if you have one tire mark or two!
One means Open Differential
Two means Limited Slip.
OR you could do it the non fun way, but it is still simple.
All you need is a:
Floor Jack
Step 1. Position the floor jack under the center of the pumpkin, lift it until both tires are no longer touching the ground.
Step 2. Spin the rear passenger side wheel, and IF the driver side wheel spins in the same direction as the one you are spinning by hand, you have a LSD. But if there is no spin or the wheel spins the opposite way, you have an Open Differential.
Id love the burn out option but im concerned i may damage somethin on my only vehicle, any good ways to get one to be induced or is the droping from neutral at high rpm the only way? sorry never done a burnout before lol!
I'm guessing by that your truck is auto? Yikes. I would NEVER DROP GEARS in a auto.
Standard is MUCH easier and fun to burnout, IMHO.
Well since you're auto, the only way to induce a burnout and not damage anything is to get a bucket of water and pour half on and around one tire and the other half for the opposite tire. (Bleach if you wanna get massive white smoke)
Well anyways, you wanna have your truck pointing away from any obstacles and away from vechicles.
Jump in, and fire it up!
Put it in Drive with your OD ON, and press your brake half way, and start to give it throttle.
The more throttle, the slightly more brakes.
Let em smoke for a while, then slowly let off the brakes so you can leave a long mark.
Have fun!
Also you can definitely do it the non hazardous way.
