Question
I know its a strange thing to think about considering the recent heat wave, but I cant help to wonder about a block heater for this winter. Our average January temps here are apparently around 32f, but its not at all unusual to have a few weeks of lows in the teens. It looks like they're not that expensive so Im just wondering if it would be worth the money to put in a block heater. Truck is a '79 F150, 351m. Thanks.

I think its more of a personal preferance really. Here in iowa the lows in the winter drop down in the single digits and below zero and i never had a problem starting my 76 F150 with a 390 or my 79 bronco with a 400 but my dad used to have one in his 76 F250. So to each their own

Im not worried about starting, Id just like to decrease the warmup time if possible. I know there will be mornings when Im running late that I dont want to wait 5 or 10 minutes to let it warm up.
