Was wondering if anyone had any info as to where I may be able to locate a pick-up bed for a 1997 with dual fuel doors. I found one site In Montana with take off beds beds and some older beds but havn't been successful with any other sites need a 2003 short bed and 2004 long bed also. Any help would be appreciated dont care the location ill deal with shipping fees!

No web site. You have to call and talk to the gentleman. He is very old school and easy to deal with.
His # is 301-334-9661
He will be at the CARLISLE ALL TRUCK NATIONALS this weekend. I know he has a FACTORY take off bed that is clean as it came off the assembly line but it is IIRC about 2400. But he has rust free beds needing some small body work for about 900. Call and talk to him. he my be able to bring something to the show for you and save you some miles

There is one in Leominster MA that was offered to me for 300.00 cash. It was just cleaned up and painted for another truck and the guy shafted my friend. So now its his and he wants to unload it. Ill ask him how much he filled and what was welded in/up, to get a idea if it will rust in 3 years on you or not. I know it was not clean from the start but its mint now.

Unless it had NEW sides put on it , i give it 2 years or less for the rust to come thru
Dale is a very trust worthy person. He will NOT lie about the condition of the bed. If you are buying the factory take off bed, it is PERFECT
SOUNDS GOOD BRAD...IM EXCITED ABOUT THIS HOPE ITS EVERYTHING I PICTURE OR IM GUNNA A UPSET INDIVIDUAL AFTER DRIVING 4.5 HOURS TO GET IT...THANKS FOR THE CONNECTION! DEFINITELY A VERY NICE MAN FROM MY EXPERIENCE SO FAR HES EVEN STAYING AN EXTRA NIGHT FOR ME TO PICKIT UP SUNDAY AM!
Sounds like your all set. The one I found was fixed with welded in quarters (all fresh steel) He said 4 or so low spots were filled. So its 100% and wont rust.. If anything falls threw PM me. Im unsubscribing this thread. He said the 300 is his labor, bed is free and paint was paid for... Note to self -= pay bill with buddy ASAP=-

Are you getting the factory take off, or just a good used bed?
I got the factory bed. thing is perfect few minor stratch that caused minor surface dent but thin coat of filler in 2 areas will smooth it up and i am anxious and excited to get it painted and on truck after some frame cleaning and undercoating
