Yep, it's getting closer...

It might. It's mostly loose towards the angled area.

I guess that makes sense. Have to think about that for a little while. Do you have any wall above the door, besides the top plate?

No I don't. I could add a 1x4 there, but I don't think that is to helpful. I was going to put a 1x6 trim board across the top to finish it off, so that will help tie it together and stiffen it some too.

Yeah, a 1x6 trim piece will help a little. probably not enough to stiffen it up completely though.

No, probably not. I'm considering running a couple "posts" up on either side of the angle. But that creates a lot of extra work if I can come up with another option...

Yes, that would add quite a bit more work to it. Is there any extra head room in the door opening?

Not much. The opening is about 83" now.

Hmmmmm, I guess I'd have to be looking at it in person to really get a fee lfor what would work.
