If its a simple recharge - Best I can remember is to add until you reach 43 pounds or near that on the line pressure and the can is no longer getting cold. That works for the Hoston temps at this time of yr.

Right on the money! 35-45psi with an outside ambient temperature around 90 degrees!

What I was getting at is if the system still has a half pound in and you add the lbs that the system calls for then it will be over filled by a half pound
