Pulled codes on dads' truck today....
Well...Pulled the codes...Here they are....
KOER-
22-BP sensor out of self-test range OR BP sensor or MAP out of range.
13-RPM unable to reach lower test limit.
KOEO-
11-System pass
12-RPM unable to reach upper test limit.
31-PFE, EVR, or EVP circuit below minimum voltage.
123-TP sensor below maximum voltage.
334-EGR closed voltage higher than expected.
122-TP sensor below maximum voltage.
41-HEGO sensor circuit indicates system lean OR HEGO switching not detected.
__________________________________________________ ____________
Now...There were a couple more on the KOER test, but I fugged'em up....
Seems dads' truck is having issues regarding the TPS, and HEGO not switching, etc....
What is the BP sensor? Another name for the MAP sensor?
Also, What is the EVP, EVR and PFE?
BTW- This a 1992 F-150 302/5speed/2wd....221k miles...

Well, yes there are 2 and 3 digit codes, but you will not have a mix between the 2. For example, my '92, 302, 4x4, AOD, Supercab has 2-digit codes. My '92, 300, 5-speed, Supercab, has 3-digit codes. The only difference besides the obvious for both trucks is this, the 302 was produced in November of '91, the 300 was produced in March of '92. I should have probably detailed about the difference in # of digits for codes in my first post.
Thanks for trying to rep me. I always try to rep those who bring good info to the FTE Forum!

ALso, my chiltons manual specifies 2 AND 3 digit codes.....So I'd imagine that being both on the same list, etc and no special mentions...That one can recieve both codes....
Turns out, dads' oxygen sensor is most likely toast....He's had the truck for about 30k miles...And never replaced it, and I'm 99% sure the the previous owners never gave care enough to replace it...

Here's a link confirming about the 2 and 3 digit code for Fords' OBDI diagnostic's. Scroll down and look carefully at the questions asked.
