My vehicle is a 1996 F-150 4x4 with a 302 the check engine light came on and I went to advance auto and they put their scanner on it and it gave me the codes DTC PO385 (crankshaft position sensor B) circuit malfunction and DTC PO171 (system to lean, Bank 1) and DTC PO174 (system to lean, Bank 2) where is the crankshaft position sensor and how critical is it? the codes PO171 and PO174 are these to codes an oxygen sensor? And could the crankshaft position sensor cause the other 2 codes? Also is there an upper and lower crankshaft position sensor? How many oxygen sensors are on my truck?

 

there's 3 oxygen sensors on your truck and the crank position sensor is located to the left and just above your harmonic balancer
