I am thinking about a Flush and Fill of my Auto Trans on my
'99 SDCCV10 w/Superchip. The local Trany shop is discouraging me from doing this because I have not done it before now (105K miles).
I know I was neglegent for not doing it earlier but I can't quite believe that it isn't a good thing to do now anyway? As of now I have had NO problems with the Truck in any way.
I will be increasing my towing weight to about 10K+ and some increase in frequency. I am considering adding a Tranny temp gauge and maybe a bigger pan to the tranyas well.
Does anyone have any thoughts or recomendations for me to consider?
Thanks Broncoholic. That was my answer to the shop too, but the good advise I have read here as a newbie has been great. So I thought I would atleast ask.
Is there a comment or thread on use of synthetics in the trany(which I really don't know anything about)? Without any mention of these in the thread that I have just read I wonder if it's worth the money or if miles is any issue with use of synthetic.
Also I mentioned that I am a newbie here .....
BUT I AM GLAD TO BE HERE......
Looks like good people and honest answers
