About 2 months ago my truck was broken into and they stole a few things, upon realizing what happened I punched my airbag out of frustration, since then when i hit my horn it would just stay on, I was at a junk yard yesterday and i found a replacement airbag that was from a truck from the same year, i think they were built a month apart, is there any danger in replacing my airbag with the one i found at the junk yard?
The air bag may not be the problem. You my have damaged the clock spring in the steering wheel hub. Do a search for clock spring. You will get a huge number of threads.
This is a great write-up by Chris (F350-6) for removing air bag and steering wheel. LINK
It was the horn button inside the airbag that was damaged, i called a friend at a body shop and he said i should be fine as long as both batteries are disconnected before i started working on it, and i did, now my horn works again and i didnt get impaled by the airbag in the process

you will be fine (i have been body shop buissness many years) every time you turn on the key the computer checks the circuit if it sees any thing wrong it turns on the air bag light it some even checks Resistance on the bag conn. . so if your light is out and the bulb hasnt been messed with your safe.
