Arrow Horn Problems... HELP

Ok back to Ol Red! Well my inspection is due next month, and my horn doesn't work "correctly". Every time I hit a bump my horn will blare, until I hit another bump, granted the first time this happened to me I pulled over as quickly as possible and disconnected the horns.

How would I fix that?

Also if the buttons in the steering wheel are jammed, what color is the wire I would have to cut and then connect to a button, like a toggle, on my dash.?

Members of FTE have provided me with answers on my fuel system problem, hopefully I can get this fixed too. Thank you for all of your support.

If your truck doesn't have airbags, take the cover of the steering wheel (the part facing you when you drive) and check how is the wiring inside.

If you do have airbags, you'll have to find which cable feeds it and disconnect it before proceding (sorry, can't help you with this, i have no airbag).

There will probably be a switch, search the owner's manual (or the site, i bet there is info around).

Ok what color is the wire leading from the horn buttons in the steering column to the relay box?

Also no need to mess with ground correct? Unless new button comes with ground, then I will also tap into the ground wire also.

Like this. Sorry for poor example.

(Horn Buttons in Steering Col.)-------------------------(PDB/Relay Box)-----------------------(Hi and Lo Horns)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I need the one in between the (Horn Buttons) and (Relay Box) so I can cut
it and put a button instead of
using the steering column

ie:
(Horn Buttons in Steering Col.)--------/-----------------(PDB/Relay Box)-----------------------(Hi and Lo Horns)
(New Button for Horn)/
^
connected to new button

The same thing happened to me but my truck does not have air bags. It turned out to be my horn pad was sticking. I had to get a new horn pad. Im not sure how the trucks with air bags are though sorry.

Yea but I think my airbags are disabled, because that little airbag module under my dash beeps when I start my truck. But I still don't wanna mess with the cover of the wheel. Very tricky.
