If it reads EGT, I'm ordering one immediately. Let us know.
The good news is the last time I checked, temperatures from EGT11_V can be read, but it's buggy. The bad news is the temp. sensor is just before the DOC and I don't think there is a temp. sensor upstream of the turbo, where you are going to see the true EGTs. What I'm hoping for is that someone can do a little data collection with a pre-turbo pyro so we can guestimate the EGTs and massage the output from EGT11_V.
Hope in one hand......

Apparently there is a delay in transit somewhere and my adapter wont be here till Fri now. EGT is the main reason I wanted to do this. Will let you know when I get it up and running. I beleive I remember seeing EGT 1 and EGT 2 in the app, so maybe EGT 2 is downstream? Don't know what sensor it would use for it though if there is no downstream EGT sensor. Is there a temp sensor in the DPF?

I just went out for lunch and tried to get EGT1 working. The output just bounces between 651°F and 653°F, so there is still some error in the calculation to get the correct output from the sensor. I have the latest version, 1.4.94.

BTW, Torque has its own screen capture.
Just press the menu button when you are in the 'Realtime Information' screen.
There's alot of features missing with the free version.
So what you're sayin' is that I should buck up and spend the $4.84 for the full app. I guess I should seeing that I already spent $30 on the BT adapter.
lol - what is it about those cheap little apps that brings out the tightwad in us? $4.84? I can't get a Baconater for that.
You love your Baconator's don't you. IIRC, that's what you were eating in your truck when you went to get your Titan tank. Gotta love Epic's videos. Educational and entertaining!
I've bought the full version of the app but I still don't think it's working correctly. The app is reporting errors from the adapter and I'm not getting very many sensors showing available data. The only sensors reporting data (not including the gps and accelerometer based sensors) are:
Accelerator PedalPosition D
Accelerator PedalPosition E
Air Fuel Ration(Measured)
Ambient air temp
Barometric pressure
Engine Load
Engine Oil Temperature
Engine RPM
Fuel Level
O2 Sensor1 Equivalence Ration
Speed (OBD)
Transmission Temperature(Method 1)
Trip Distance
Voltage (Control Module)
Voltage (OBD Adapter)
Exhaust Gas Temperature 1 is showing a dark green but no data.
After a few minutes I'm at 58 errors and 54 other faults.
Does anybody have an OBD adapter other than the ELM 327? Are you getting errors? Are you getting more sensors reporting data? I don't want to spend the money on one of the expensive adapters if the only sensors I'll be able to get data from are the ones I've listed above.
I have the plx devices adapter. I works fine...no faults or errors. I get the same pids as you, I don't think they have all the pid equations yet for the 2011. I cant get coolant temp yet either.
For those of you that are showing a screen shot where the trans temp and coolant temp match, it's not right. There are 3 or 4 methods (options) for trans temp. My Expedition was showing them as the same with the one I first chose.
I actually chose all of them and put them on one screen. After driving for a while, suddenly one of them came up with a value that was idependant of the engine coolant. Also, the pre-defined extended PID list specifically says Ford (Including 6.0L Powerstroke).
If you go to the torque-bhp.com forum, and search for FORD, you'll get some threads with links to known PID lists. You can enter them manually, and then just have to figure out the equation.
Any updates with this thread? Have more PID equations been entered in the software?
I want to get it, but not until it works.
I guess if I knew the manufacturer of all of the sensors, I could probably build the equations for them. I'm sure most are 4-20mA signals.
While I can't test the app because I returned my "el cheapo" ELM327 bluetooth adapter for a refund and haven't bought a better adapter yet but I do know that they have released at least 2 or 3 updates for the app in the last few months. On this most recent update they listed "Add Ford SuperDuty coolant predefined PID" as one of the updates.
