Ford stopped making trucks in 2004 then like everyone else it became a "Livingroom" on wheels

Also i would take a modern GM LS engine over a Ford Mod motor anyday of the week (Pushrod) !!!!! no mod

for GM trucks i was a fan of the "Highschool" era ( 1992) Z71's great trucks hands down everyone and there mother had one

Dodge well never realy got into the MOPAR trucks, But i did like the 5.9 R/T at least Dodge had the ***** to put a V8 in a small truck

Idk about that. I've seen what a 305 can do and what a 302 can do. I will go to bat with that 5.0l any day of the week against a 305 for durability, speed, mpg and power.

all of the big 3 have there advantages and disadvantages...i have always owned fords probably becuase that is what i grew up working on with my dad..i do love the simplicity of older fords...

i owned a 96 chevy silverado and that thing was a turd!!! i loved the vortce 350 but the transmission went out a month after buying it, i replaced the brakes ever year and it handled like a rock! and it didnt turn worth a darn! it did get decent mpgs though..

but over all i love fords.. i dont have and grudges about the other 2 but i will stay ford from now on..

a 305 is ok, but chevy also was smart and most of the trucks had decent gearing-IDK WTF ford was thinking with some of thier choices-mpg maybe?

I don't care for the large, square look of the '04-up Ford trucks. I've driven a few as well and thought they felt "pudgy & cheap". I think Dodge makes a nice looking truck and I love the vintage options & marketing of the Ram (Rumble Bee, Daytona, HEMI, R/T, etc.). Can't really argue about a Cummins either. My best friend bought a new '07 Chevy 1500 and it was a total pile of crap, he couldn't get rid of it fast enough. I do think the LS engine is well designed & makes tons of HP with very little mods.

Regardless, I would rather push my Ford than drive a Chevy!
