I have F150 and want to install a F250 rearend under it. What year will fit inplace and will I have to change the driveline also.
Welcome to FTE.
While you do happen to be in the wrong year, don't sweat it, a Mod will eventually catch it and move it to the appropriate forum for ya.
Back to the topic. What you might want to look for is the "heavy-half" F150 that they produce late in the 97-03 model run. I believe it was even badged as an F250, but all that it really was is the F150 body and frame with 3/4 ton running gear. They are most easily spotted by the 7-lug axles.
If you just want a heavier rear axle, then you should check for a Dana 60 rear out of an early model year F250. IIRC that track width should match your current running stock.
Just what are you trying to accomplish by swapping to a heavier rearend?
