Installing Rear Shock help

What am I missing here? These seem like they are not long enough or I am missing a bracket. Also does the zip tie around the shock come off?

Zip tie gets cut, BUT before you do that you need shocks with eyes at both ends. You have shocks for a different rear bracket.

Both of my 150's have those shocks on the rear. Those upper brackets are different than mine.

Brought them back and the weird thing is the Rancho 5000 match up bur the monroe doesn't. Can anyone get me a part number for the correct monroe shocks? I really don't want to spend $120 on a pair if I don't have to. This first pair was only $50 which I was happy with.

78,

Monroe #34901 (rear) Gas Magnum - $36 ea on line. Double check to make sure these fit your truck. If you can I would do the front also.

I had them order. These were $46 a piece at the store here and the rancho's were $55 a piece. I still had him order these since I'm not off roading at all. He thinks the picture may be wrong on his computer at advance.

Mine is just like in the picture Brian1080 posted. I replaced mine last year, all four. They were the original factory shocks, and it made a HUGE difference. I picked mine up at Napa, but off hand dont recall the price.

Try these for Rancho. It's either 5116 or 5118. I believe these are Rancho numbers. Mighty big stack of receipts to find that one.
These are on mine and I have the same rear mounts as you but one of them is for a Dana 60 front and I'm not sure if the 44 is the same.

Yeah this is a pain. I didn't really want to spend the money for rancho. Anyone got the Monroe part # ?

post all the info on your truck? In all the trucks Ive had, I have no idea why some mount with that bolt sticking out and why some mount with the stud sticking out. Mine is a 78 F150 4x4 and mine has the stud type.

I see one thing that your upper shock brackets are bolted to the frame, they would have been riveted to the frame from factory. Mine both rotted off about 10 yrs ago and I made new one's, but someone could have changed them at some point?

Your upper mounts are the same as my upper mounts on my 74 f250 4x4. What do your lowers mounts look like?

the upper mounts are studs on front and back and the lower mounts are tabs on the rear axle for 1/2 bolt and tabs on the front radius arms for a 1/2 bolt
