04 trans shift cable
On my 04 150 auto , the clip that holds the shift cable to the trans selector shaft broke , ford says i need to buy the whole cable , anyone have this problem , and what did you do ??.....Lew

Sadly unless you find someone with the clip you do have to buy the whole assembly. This happened to me last summer but I got lucky the shop I took it to had the clip left over from another project.
It still amazes me that the cable is held to the tranny by a plastic clip.
