I know this prolly isn't the right place for this thread but, does anyone know if the new truck engines have spark plug problems as all 5.4's did? Also I hate the look of the new 150's but would like the newer power plant. I figured after my engine shot craps Id swap in the new 6 speed and a 5.0 or 3.5. Would that be possible im not sure the 5.4 will pull out through the hood with it sitting so far back.

 

You would be looking at some serious money on a swap... The electrical and engine management systems alone would be a giant mountain to climb. But nothings impossible with the right amount of money I guess.. Why swap? The f150 is due for a redesign in a few years why not just wait and see if you like what they come out with next?

 

Ya, I rather not have another truck payment or have to put another lift on, but from what I've seen the new engines in my opinon are way better than the 5.4

 

I absolutely love my 5.4!

 

The 5.4 is a great engine. I absolutely loved mine as did my Dad but the only reason I dont have mine anymore is the gas mileage.
