how to disconnect fuel tank lines

Dropping my front fuel tank in order to get to a leaky brake line behind it. Got the tank dropped now trying to disconnect the lines. Got the electrical one disconnected but don't know how to disconnect the 2 fuel lines. They look like they have a weird fitting on there. Do I need a special tool?

Ya, you do. I don't have a pic of one, but I think parts stores may rent them out. Not sure on the size either. Not much help for you either..

I had my bed removed when going to a larger rear tank and disconnected the lines from the front and rear tanks without a tool, so it can be done. Wish I could tell you how, but I can't even picture exactly what the things looked like.

Just take your bed off, that should give you all the room you need to get to your brake lines.

When I did mine I ended up cutting them and replaceing them with rubber fuel line that was 7 years ago and I have not had a problem. It is sometimes easyer to take the box off to work in those areas as was said by thebig 350
