haha ive answered this like 3 times, i dont have a job yet. but i mow lawns to be able to put gas in my truck
do you make alot of money?
Define a lot. Well however you define it, no. My bills get paid (except this month its really close..) and I usually have a little left over for myself. But I dont make a lot. There are too many illegals around here that do the same thing and they drive prices down.
at this point anything so i can go to school. if i were to ask for something in my league without documents i want to work in an auto shop. i did 4 years of automotive in highschool and even have a certificate for basic automotive. also have experience taking motors out and even set up my own car show. ive applied to a ton of different shops and nothing.

was it hard starting your own company?
Its no joy ride, but surprisingly no. Its keeping it going and growing thats hard. The worst part is not knowing if youre going to make any money from week to week.
i am 18 and no i have not been saving up. any penny i get goes into keepin my truck runnin. ive done the FAFSA form for financial aid and it will give me 9k in student loans. the school i plan to go to first for my regular associates in general studies is 5k. but if i dont have a job before i graduate im screwed and odds favor me not having a job.

Have you started school? Most community colleges let you go at your own pace.

BUT i just got a call from my aunt who told me my uncles welding company that he works for is lookin for someone. gonna call that guy monday and set up an interview.

We only advertise online, and do not pay for advertising (with the exception of physical things like flyers business cards etc..). More than 50% of our business is direct word of mouth or repeat business. The rest comes from Yahoo, Google, Craigslist, our website, etc...
Some, if it's important stuff, I call a certified welder over to do it right, from another part of the shop.
Believe we have become a nation of college degree holders and no one is left to do the actual WORK?
No, I think we will have a nation of college degree holders because you will need a degree to do WORK just because of competition. Thats the way my field (EMS) is. You arent required to have a degree, but you probably wont get hired with out one anymore.
No..........a certification?, yes.
I have seen many a college "whiz kid" get eaten alive by the guys on the shop floor, the degree in engineering should require hands on mastery in the real world, not comp. models.
Is southern Cali better than the bay area?...........I hated San Jose.

Congestion, outrageous prices for everything, crime, dirty, ludicrous taxes, etc.
Want to know anything about things in Oregon?
Congestion? Sucks. We have the statistically worst freeway interchange in the country, 101/405.
Prices? High. I paid $4.02/gal of Diesel 2 today, and thats the lowest I have paid this year.
Crime? Some places are good. My neighboring city is Oxnard, which is 'affectionately' called Little Mexico. Lots of crime here.
Ludicrous taxes? Yes and no. Taxes on ludicrous things, yes. Ludicrously high taxes? Debatable.
I picture Oregon as a green place, where you can do "country" things and get away with it (like finding a muddy field and having fun in your truck). And a lot of rain. Is that correct?
