The argument is that the Donaldson is hydrophobic while the 6637 is not. I'd like to see proof that the filter coming out of the Donaldson box is hydrophobic and the Wix or Napa 6637 is not hydrophobic. I've only seen people say it on the interweb, never seen an actual test thrown out there.
I will keep ordering my filters from fleetfilter.com until I see otherwise, which means I will keep getting Wix/Napa filters.

as tayln said, all 6637 filters are made by donaldson.
look at any filter, and they will all have the same donaldson part number on it somewhere.
the wix/napa filters sometimes have a sticky label on the filter with the donaldson number, and sometimes don't it all depends on whether the person that puts it into the napa box removes the sticker or not.
