Automatic Transmission Question
I know this is a 1997 but looking for some answers from the group. I got a 1997 F-350, former Verizon truck w/7.3. It is an F-Super Duty model. I'm looking for a used automatic transmission but not sure what I'm looking for. The truck has a trans code of "E" on the vin tag. The trans has the emergency brake on the tail section.
Is this a E4OD trans and what years do I look for that are compatible? Does 95 to 98 work as long as it came from a 7.3 truck?
Is the emergency brake something that I just swap over if the other trans does not have?
If I find a doner truck with the same trans code, I should be good, correct?
