Excursion 2004 6.0 Differential problem ?!

What oil to the rear axle, a differential?
80W-140 and how much?
How do I change the oil? Pictures?
Rear axle oil smells burnt and the car swings withdraws: (
What to do?

Try to understand!

75w-140, believe it's 3.5 quarts

That link tells you to fill it but doesn't say how to and the OP probably needs a way to fill it.

According to Guzzle, the front takes 5.7 pints of 75W-90; the rear takes 6.9 pints of 75W-140 and may need a friction modifier added if you have a limited slip differential.

1 Pint [US] = 0.473176473 Liters

Hope this helps, Sean

Nobody answered OP; how to fill it. I have used a funnel and sometimes a grease gun.

The links I provided from Guzzle's website explain how to do it with pictures.

I didn't see any pictures of anybody filling anything in there.

Come to think of it, you're right, the one thing he doesn't do is show how to fill it. He tells you where, but he doesn't tell you how.

On the rear diff, I know you 1-2 cm off the top of the cap (just enough for fluid to come through), tilt, and then squeeze and release until empty.

On the front, there is a fill hole and the same rules apply.

My sincerest apologies...

I have used a funnel and the oil container, the container of oil by itself, and a suction gun with a bucket, and what do you use?
