Hey fellas. Well I just bought an 09 F250 Superduty CC 4x4 with Auto tranny about 3 weeks ago. Trucks running great but I'm noticing a weird shudder when I put it into reverse. When I shift into reverse the truck kinda softly shutters for a second as its reversing. I've made sure its not the brakes grabbing either, I can shift into reverse and not touch the brakes and it shutters a little bit as it very first begins to back up, Its almost as if the torque converter is acting up. My U-joints are good etc etc. I'm gonna probably take it in since its still under warranty but I was just wondering if you guys have any clue to what it might be.
All the above are good ?
But I have a few more
Do you tow any trailers with this truck?
Does it do this shudder or a second bump in the driveshaft when going forward from a stop?
possible causes could be limited slip problems or fluid
Drive line angle ,some f350's have had a change in the center bracket in the 2 piece drive shaft.
also the drive shaft slip joint could be dry an need lubed with a special teflon grease from ford.
